Monarch captures a quiet garden moment in fused glass: a monarch butterfly resting among soft pink coneflowers and scattered meadow blooms.
Layers of glass paint and colourful frit create the flowers, pollen and surrounding greenery, while the textured clear glass allows natural light to become part of the scene. Place it near a window or light source and the colours will shift throughout the day.
Each Second Orbit Studio glass postcard is cut, painted, assembled and kiln-fired by hand in Calgary, Alberta.
Details:
Original fused-glass artwork
Hand-painted monarch and wildflower meadow
Glass frit adds colour and raised texture
Approximately 6 × 4 inches
Display stand included
Handmade in Calgary, Alberta
One of a kind
Small bubbles, textures and variations are natural parts of kiln-formed glass and make each piece unique. Colours may appear different depending on the surrounding light.
